RECORDED with Flood (Nine Inch Nails, Depeche Mode) and mixed by Alan Moulder (now Halliday's hubbie), Doppelgänger was a disappointment to many in that it didn't vary overly from the preceding EPs. Nevertheless 'Already Yours', 'Lillies Dying' and the fabulous 'Split Into Fractions' were funked up state-of-the-art slices of white noise, Halliday's vocals strong but exhibiting a very real vulnerability.
