CURVE'S performance at Brixton Academy on the Cuckoo tour was one of their best ever*. Dark, gripping and unbelievably heavy duty, they revealed a set of songs so ferociously modern few have matched them even now. With techno riffs now allied to their blitzkrieg of savage samples, and sweet melodies struggling to rise above the sonic attack, they were simply mindblowing.

* this gig wasn't quite as great as this reviewer seems to remember...

"...Brixton Academy springs to mind... fucking horrible... half the samples were missing because some c*** was too fucked up to turn them on from the stage mix board... Monti and I were playing two different songs, had to pull the band off stage for ten very long minutes while the said C switched them on..."
