A purposeful, ambitious LP which pushes out the parameters of The Curve Thang to take in techno / dub twiddlery, and finds Toni in more explicit - even confessional - lyrical mood on the impossibility of solid relationships and her crumbling sense of self. It probably doesn't sound much fun on paper, but Dean goes studio-crazy, cultivating a varied landscape of moods, sounds and textures that seems well in tune with today's bold, technologically progressive pop. This one should stand the test of time.
