New project for ex-Curve man Dean Garcia.

Curve were one of those groups who were victims of their own definitiveness. With their debut EP Blindfold, they had already perfected their line in surging, synthetic indie-rock, leaving themselves with no place to go on subsequent recordings. They split in 1994 but their musical creative force Dean Garcia has always kept quietly busy - hence Headcase.

Cross Eyed Rabbit is what an upgraded Curve might have sounded like with their guitar cyber-flesh torn away. Moving at the brisk, neural pace of the big city, it veers between brutalist slabs of electronica like "K20" and the fast-moving, sequencer driven atmospherics of "Vibri" and "1779". Not an end in itself, this, but a blueprint for future possibilities.
